for OEM & Tier1s
SheeldS (formerly Arilou) is a pioneer in the automotive cybersecurity industry. For the past ten years, Sheelds has developed and successfully tested multiple cybersecurity solutions for OEM & Tier1s. Our Software based intrusion and prevention system was developed for CAN-BUS, Ethernet, J1939 and soon UDS.
Cybersecurity

SheeldS offers software-based intrusion detection system with an optional intrusion prevention mechanism. The most advanced cybersecurity suite on the market, and with flexible integration modes, SheeldS solution secures a vehicle’s controller area network (CAN) buses, Ethernet and J1939.
SheeldS offers software-based intrusion detection system with an optional intrusion prevention system mechanism:
Intrusion detection and prevention for the CAN bus
SheeldS for CAN bus is an SDK integrated into an ECU. It may be an existing ECU such as a gateway, a TCU, or a dedicated ECU attached to the CAN-Bus in-vehicle network.
Incoming CAN messages are inspected and any anomaly is reported.
When configured as an IPS, messages hazardous to safety or functionality are discarded to protect the vehicle.
Intrusion detection and prevention for Ethernet
Ethernet brings greater bandwidth and enables new functionality, but it also brings new challenges and legacy-risks from the IT domain.
SheeldS for Ethernet overcomes these issues by incorporating intrusion detection, firewalling, and an optional prevention system directly into automotive Ethernet networks.
Intrusion detection and prevention for Heavy Commercial Vehicles (SAEJ1939)
Commercial vehicles use the SAE standard J1939 protocol for control area networks (CAN). This protocol can be exploited to commit cyber-attacks on the vehicle’s, frequently interoperable, electronic control units (ECUs).
SheeldS for Heavy Commercial Vehicles is an SDK integrated into the ECU. Incoming J1939 CAN messages are inspected and anomalies are reported. When configured as an IPS, messages hazardous to safety or functionality are discarded.
